Shetland Rest is located 45 minutes south of Hobart (a distance of 54 kilometres) in Southern Tasmania's Huon Valley.

Directions from Hobart: Head south following the signs to Huonville (A6). Drive through Huonville and turn left onto Channel Highway (just after the pub and before the bridge over the Huon River). Continue 10 kilometres before turning right onto the Cygnet Coast Road. Travel 6 kilometres along the Cygnet Coast Road before turning left onto Silver Hill Road. Shetland Rest is located on your right.
